Recently I ran across my old diary from when I was 13 years old. I wrote in it on and off with spurts of consistency up until my late teens. Mostly about boys such as my ongoing crush on Vinny Calvosa, a bad boy who carried around a graffiti filled sketchbook who inspired me to try my hand at graffiti myself. Or my high school sweetheart, David Machin. Finding this old diary inspired me to start writing again. I thought of all the eras in my life I let come and go without writing in my diary. Like back when I was working at Stevenson Academy. What an amazing and enchanted time in my life that was. To work with Attila Hejja was incredibly special. I’ll save my stories about Attila for another time.
I decided in an effort to keep my friends and family up to date on my musings and for me I would start this blog. Some posts will keep my students in mind. I find it hard to post more personal thoughts on Facebook. I don’t like intruding in other people’s space with my art and thoughts on art. But if they come to my blog then they are asking for it. ;)
Sort of where I am now:
I will have an updated version of this up soon. Worked on this at the Grand Central Atelier.
Me at the Armory Show.
